Replacement thyroxine is quite inexpensive, if you are hypothyroid. Radioactive iodine taken to obliterate an overactive thyroid gland would be expensive. If you are prescribed beta-blockers to obviate some of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism, that would also be relatively inexpensive if you go for the ones that are older and the patent has run out, and you can buy generic.
Pretty cheap if you get a generic. Also the generic is on Walmart and Target’s $4 prescription plan. Just ask the doctor for generic.
