I too have ...
I too have hypothyroidism. I do the same things: come home from work and nap, nap on the weekends, can't concentrate, etc. It truly blows. I am treating mine naturally, have you tried supplementation?

I believe my that ...
I believe my that my meds still don't have me normal. Right now I am experiencing some hair loss as opposed to last month where my hair loss was really bad. I also believe it all depends on your personal body chemistry on what you may experience. At least if you know what to look out for you won't be too shocked. Wish you the best.

I'm 18 and just ...
I'm 18 and just found out I have hypothyroidism. The only symptoms I have are fatigue and being cold all the time. I am starting on the pills tomorrow to help treat it. Did you have any side effects to the pills?

After RAI: I am ...
After RAI: I am back on Synthroid (hurrah). It has taken more than a couple of wks to feel like I am back to normal & not being so tired. Also, my taste buds are back to normal and that burnt sensation/taste is gone. I don't what was worse the fatigue, the special diet, the radiation or losing my taste buds. Crossing fingers that this is the last RAI! Thanks, will check on info about the sugar levels.

Only supplemental ...
Only supplemental Ca+ here. 2nd radiation, I experienced similar to the 1st rad. treatmnt. Main difference, I knew what to expect & what to do. And, my questions for my doc. were probably much more sound. My "radiation" therapy doc. - IMMENSELY better. Consultation mtng close to 1 hr! Educated questions helped. I lost significant amt of hair, swollen digits, burnt toungue feeling. Shedding cat. Synthroid levels a mess, still leveling, 6 mon later & 3rd rad tx possible. Best to you!

The main supplement ...
The main supplement that I keep tabs on is my calcium intake. I on occasion will have tingling in my hands or on my face and sometimes a swollen tongue. That's my cue to take more calcium. I believe this is due to a couple of my parathyroids that have been removed along with the majority of my thyroid. The only thing that helped my short term memory come back was getting back on synthroid.
