Does anyone have hyperthyroidism? What are the symptoms that you experience?
I was diagnosed hyper in 2001. I had all the symptoms but had no idea they were all connected until my dr asked if I noticed that most of my hair had fallen out. Then they found it.
I would sleep but would never feel rested, the dr said it’s because the thyroid hormone controls all the processes in your body and when your hyper it never slows down to rest. My hair had fallen out, I was starving all the time, thirsty all the time, was in the bathroom all the time, diarrhea, anxious, my hands shook so bad I couldn’t write my name. I had heart palpitations.
I had radioactive iodine therapy which killed my thyroid and now will take synthroid the rest of my life. But once they get it regulated it’s fine. I feel great nowadays. But it’s a long slow process and anyone going through it needs our sympathy and understanding.

Symptoms and signs include weight loss (often accompanied by an increased appetite), anxiety, intolerance to heat, fatigue, hair loss, weakness, hyperactivity, irritability, apathy, depression, polyuria, polydipsia, and sweating.
Some patients present with a variety of symptoms such as palpitations irregular heart rhythms, shortness of breath (dyspnea), loss of libido, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Hope this helps.
