For like a week I’ve had almost all the symptoms of hyperthyroidism. I couldn’t sleep for five days because my body was so alert and feeling warm at night while others felt cool. Then i took a multivitamin with iodine, some milk and orange juice late at night, and now I have the symptoms of hypothyroidism. Can someone please tell me what my body’s doing?

Get a TSH.

Hypothyroidism is generally treated with Levothyroxine, the synthetic identical to the thyroid hormone thyroxine. There are other drugs on the market like desiccated thyroid hormone (T4 + T3) from a pig’s thyroid (Armour) or synthetic T3 (Cytomel) which can be taken in conjunction with your T4 (Synthroid and the like). I cannot personally comment on T3 or desiccated thyroid hormone, but Synthroid take 6-8 weeks to be fully in your system, but I see/ feel a difference withing 6-10 days. Good luck.

why is my thryoid numbers going higher even tho I am on high synthroid?

One year ago I was diagnosed with hypothryism. 50 mcg of Synthroid took my numbers down to 5.59 and then 2 months later I’m back up to 20. and now 42 . I feel unbelievable tired and wonder if there isn’t a natural way to treat this condition such as iodine?

I am facing the following symptoms.

1. morning temperatures below 97.5

2. very poor wound healing

3. eye floaters, eye strain ,entoptic phenomena

4. Halos around lights and glares while seeing lights at night times.

5. Eye pain and headaches many times in a day.

What are these symptoms related to ??

I had consulted 2 opthamaologists and everything was fine.

Obviously, you have none of these. It could an early cataract.

I occasionally get diarrhea from having too much sun and I usually get diarrhea a lot in the winter. I have anxiety attacks, which may cause some of the diarrhea since I am always nervous. I sweat a real lot when I’m working out or even just somewhere hot. My skin is still normal. I always have swollen glands in my throat from when I had mono last year but none by the base. I don’t have difficulty swallowing or breathing. And there are long stretches of time where I go with out diarrhea or anxiety. So can this be hyperthyroidism or no, since the symptoms aren’t always constant?

Hyperthyroidism, once you have it pretty much stays with you…sorry.
I am Hypothyroid and have to stay on medication the rest of my life because if I don’t, it will affect my heart.
My symptoms are: swollen glands in the neck, dry skin, weight gain, feeling tired, anxious, and constipated.
You need to see a Dr. and have a blood draw done to test for thyroid disorder and get on treatment right away if you need it. Not treating it can lead to other disorders. Many people live for years and years even though not treated however as they have no clue what is going on. It’s just a good idea, if you are not feeling well to get tested. With your symptoms being on and off, it probably isn’t thyroid.

Hi, I’m 17 and my breast are abnormally large. like im a size 2, 110 pounds, and i have 32f’s. I have a lot of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism. So i was wondering if it could have possibly caused my breasts to be so large. thanks for the help!
